CDV's Post-accident Care project reaches the final of the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2026

The Transport Research Centre's Post-accident Care project has reached the final of the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2026. In the Education category, it ranks among the top three projects selected from 61 entries across Europe.

The Post-accident Care project developed by the Transport Research Centre (CDV) has achieved significant international recognition by reaching the final of the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2026. In the Education category, it has been selected as one of only three finalists from a total of 61 projects submitted from across Europe.

The Excellence in Road Safety Awards, organised by the European Road Safety Charter under the leadership of the European Commission, recognise outstanding initiatives that make a measurable contribution to improving road safety. The Charter brings together more than 4,000 organisations and individuals across Europe, including public authorities, research institutions, educational organisations, NGOs and private companies committed to safer roads.

Submitted under the title Beyond the Crash: Voices that Mend, the Post-accident Care project raises awareness of the long-term consequences of road crashes and highlights the importance of comprehensive support for crash victims. Through authentic personal stories, it encourages public discussion about post-crash care as an essential pillar of road safety.

Being selected among the three strongest education initiatives in Europe demonstrates the international relevance of the project's approach and highlights the contribution of Czech expertise to improving road safety.

The winners of the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2026 will be announced during the EU Road Safety Conference on 23 November 2026 in Brussels.
