At the Transport Research Center, we pride ourselves on open communication and fair treatment of all applicants. We want you to know what to expect during the selection process and after you join us. Find out how the interview works, what your first day with us will look like, and how we will guide you step by step through the adaptation process to make you feel confident and welcome.
Sending your resume and invitation to an interview
Our HR department will review your resume and cover letter with our expert colleagues, and if they meet the requirements of the position, we will invite you to a personal interview via email. We will not leave you in uncertainty and will always contact you, even if you are not selected for an interview. Feedback is important to us.
The interview process
One of our HR representatives, your potential supervisor, and their supervisor will be present at the interview. The interview also includes a basic personality test so that we can determine what type of work and communication suits you best. Afterwards, we will all sit down together and talk about your expectations and experience, and we will explain the job in more detail. We do not conduct interviews online, because personal contact is the best way to find out whether we will work well together.
After the interview
You will be notified of the interview results by email as soon as possible. If you decide to accept the job, we will agree on a start date, which is usually either the 1st or 15th day of the month. Before that, we will ask you to fill out a personal questionnaire so that we can prepare your employment contract, and to provide proof of your highest level of education. At the same time, we will send you a form for an initial medical examination, which must be completed before you start work.
Adaptation is the integration of a new employee into the organization, including explaining all processes, completing mandatory training, and training for the new position.
On the day of arrival
On your first day at work, you will be welcomed by the head of the HR department. They will sign all the necessary documents with you, show you the organizational structure, give you a handbook for new employees, and introduce you to the director of the institution.
We will then take you to your workplace and introduce you to your immediate supervisor. You will meet the team, undergo health and safety training, and review the basic documents that you need to follow. During the day, you will also learn about the basic operating systems (attendance and information system, communication channels).
In the first few weeks
Part of the adaptation process in the coming weeks will include a tour of the Transport Research Center laboratories, which will give you an insight into some of the institution's activities and allow you to get to know your colleagues.
At the end of the trial period
At the end of the trial period (after four months), you will meet with your supervisor and then with the head of the HR department to evaluate your initial performance with us and set the direction for our future cooperation. The head of the HR department will go over all the benefits you will be entitled to after the trial period.
