Transport Research Center, v. v. i., with its registered office at Líšeňská 2657/33a, 636 00 Brno, which may also act as an organizer of various conferences or other services provided, as the operator of a specially created website serving to present the outputs of CDV or its subsidiaries (hereinafter also "We" or "CDV"), as the personal data controller, informs you, as a user of the website www.cdv.cz, about the collection of personal data and privacy principles described below.

Our website is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not process the personal data of children under the age of 16, except in cases where such data is required by the nature of the project or is expressly requested. In such cases, CDV proceeds in accordance with applicable law, complying with the prescribed obligations and principles.
When you contact us via our website, you may be asked to fill in certain information about yourself or your company. This information may include, in particular:
Your first name, last name, and any academic titles
business name,
address or registered office of the company
identification number and tax identification number,
telephone number,
your email address, or other information necessary to ensure the provision of services, taking into account their nature and purpose.
Taking and publishing photographs, audio, and video recordings of you is only possible if you fill out the registration form for an in-person or online event organized by CDV. By completing the registration form, you give your express consent to the Controller, within the meaning of Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), process my personal data, namely:
by taking photographs, audio or video recordings of me and publishing the personal data captured therein.
I grant my consent to the taking and publication of photographs, audio or video recordings of myself for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Controller and the services it offers on the Controller's website and on social networks where the Controller has its own profile (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube) for an indefinite period, or until such consent is revoked.
We use the data you provide to contact you and provide you with the information you have requested, or for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations, or with regard to the nature of the activities that CDV performs for you (e.g., job applicant's resume, data necessary for participation in a competition, information necessary for processing inquiries, etc.). All personal data is processed in a lawful and transparent manner, and only data that is adequate, relevant, and necessary in relation to the purpose of processing is required. In addition, we may use your first name, last name, and email address to send you commercial communications, i.e., to inform you about events, publications, or services that we provide and that we believe may be of interest to you. The provision of personal data for the purposes of performing a contract and the provision of personal data for the purposes of responding to your questions or requests for information are our contractual requirements, and failure to provide such data may result in the contract not being concluded or your questions not being answered.
In addition, you may refuse the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending commercial communications at any time, and this will not affect our other mutual relations. Simply send us an email with the relevant request to gdpr@cdv.gov.cz or another address from which you received commercial communications from us.
You can receive commercial communications from us regarding similar products to those you have purchased from us, training courses you have completed with us, or you can request them.
You can always refuse to receive these communications via the unsubscribe link found in the footer of each email containing these communications. Unsubscribing from commercial communications is free of charge.
If you subscribe to these communications, we process the following data:
Identification data, specifically your first and last name;
Contact details, which enable us to communicate with you, specifically your email address and, if you indicate your interest, your telephone number.
When you visit our website, we collect various information about you during your visit, such as your IP address, browser settings, and preferred language, as well as the web pages you visit and the time of your visit. We also monitor your movement on the website, or rather which links you click on, so that we can tailor the content displayed to you as much as possible and offer you products and content that you will appreciate.
When you visit our website, we store and subsequently read cookies in your internet browser and device, which we discuss in a separate section of this Cookie Policy.
In addition to cookies, we also process data about your behavior on the website, your IP address, data provided by your browser, specifically the resolution, operating system of your device, including its version and language settings.
If you participate in a testing program offered by us, for example as part of a combined transport program, or other events that result in the issuance of a certificate, we may process the following data:
Identification data, which is your first and last name;
Contact details, specifically your email address.
We also organize various events for you, during which we may process the following data:
Identification data, which is your first and last name, or your company ID number and VAT number;
Contact details, specifically your email address and phone number.
We will inform you about the specific personal data processed for each event, but in general, we will only store identification and contact details for as long as is necessary to create a certificate (after you have successfully passed the test) and send it to your contact email address. After sending the certificate to the contact email address, this data is not stored further, except in cases of sending similar training courses or legitimate interest.
We process personal data to varying degrees and for various purposes, as described above, either:
a) Without your consent, based on the performance of a contract, the fulfillment of a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests;
b) Based on your consent.
We must also comply with certain obligations imposed on us by applicable law. If we process your personal data on the basis of compliance with these obligations, we do not need to obtain your consent for such processing. On this legal basis, we specifically process your identification and contact details, as well as data about your orders.
For the purpose of sending commercial communications via email, we may process your personal data based on your consent. Based on your consent, we process it if we do not process it based on a legitimate interest or for the performance of a contract. You can withdraw your consent at any time and unsubscribe from commercial communications. The specific data we process in this case is listed above.
We also process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest so that we can improve and customize the services we provide, find out whether you are satisfied with the processing of your order, and promote our products and services more effectively.
Based on our legitimate interest in direct marketing, we may also send you commercial communications regarding products similar to those you have purchased from us. However, this is only on condition that you do not object to such processing.
Our legitimate interest also includes the protection of legal claims, internal records, and the control of the proper provision of our services. In this case, we process all categories of personal data listed in the section Scope of personal data processing.
The processing of your personal data based on legitimate interest also takes place when you visit our stores, which are monitored by a camera system for the purpose of property protection. You can object to this processing at any time.
As the controller, we will process your personal data. We may transfer your personal data to our subcontractors for the above-mentioned purposes so that they can process it for us. As the controller, we are entitled to use a verified subcontractor, e.g., Ecomal.cz s.r.o., for the above-mentioned purpose, which must comply with all legal requirements. A specific list of processors is available upon request at gdpr@cdv.gov.cz to ensure that it is up to date.
We will process your personal data for as long as we provide you with our services or fulfill our mutual contract, or for as long as necessary to fulfill our archiving obligations under applicable laws, such as the Accounting Act, the Archiving and Records Act, or the Value Added Tax Act.
You have the following rights in relation to our processing of your personal data:
the right to access your personal data;
the right to rectification;
the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
the right to restriction of processing;
the right to object to processing; and
the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of personal data.
Your rights are explained below so that you can get a clearer idea of their content.
You can exercise all your rights by contacting us at gdpr@cdv.gov.cz.
You can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection.
The right of access means that you can ask us at any time to confirm whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed, and if so, for what purposes, to what extent, to whom it is disclosed, how long we will process it, whether you have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or to object, where we obtained the personal data, and whether your personal data is used for automated decision-making, including profiling. You also have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data, with the first provision being free of charge and the Intermediary being entitled to charge a reasonable fee for administrative costs for any further provision.
The right to rectification means that you can ask us at any time to correct or complete your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to erasure means that we must erase your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed, the processing is unlawful, you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or we are required to do so by law.
The right to restriction of processing means that until we resolve any disputed issues regarding the processing of your personal data, we must restrict the processing of your personal data so that we can only store it and, if necessary, use it for the purpose of determining, exercising, or defending legal claims.
The right to object means that you may object to the processing of your personal data that we process for direct marketing purposes or for legitimate interests. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, your personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 30, 2024.

Information about how you use our website is also provided to third parties who provide us with analytical and marketing tools, with your consent.
