Eduroam (education roaming) is an international project providing secure internet access via wireless networks at academic and research institutions around the world. In the Czech Republic, the project is coordinated by CESNET. Thanks to eduroam, CDV employees as well as guests from partner institutions can connect to the internet simply and securely – always using a single account, wherever the eduroam network is available.
More information about the project is available at eduroam.cz.

To configure the connection manually, you will need the following information:
Network name (SSID): eduroam
Security and encryption: WPA2-Enterprise
Authentication: 802.1X
RADIUS server name: radius.cdv.cz
IP address assignment: automatic via DHCP
You log in to the eduroam network using your username in the format firstname.lastname@cdv.cz and the same password you use within CDV. We recommend configuring the connection manually according to the parameters above to ensure secure authentication and avoid issues with automatic sign-in.
If you experience connection problems, please contact the CDV IT department (contact details below).
If you are an employee or student of another institution participating in eduroam, you can connect at CDV using the credentials of your home institution, in the format your.login@your-institution.cz. No registration with us is required – simply have your device properly configured and the eduroam network will become available automatically.
If you experience login problems, please contact the IT department of your home institution first – they manage your account and its permissions.
The eduroam network covers all buildings of the Transport Research Centre at the address Líšeňská 33a, 636 00 Brno, including the surrounding areas.
Traffic on the eduroam network is subject to the Terms of Access to the CESNET e-Infrastructure, an integral part of which is the CESNET Infrastructure Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). These documents establish, in particular, the obligation to comply with the applicable laws of the Czech Republic, a prohibition on unauthorized access to the resources of connected networks, and the obligation to respond immediately to instructions from network administrators. By connecting to the eduroam network, the user accepts these terms.
The current version of these documents is available on the website of CESNET, z. s. p. o.
For technical connection issues, please contact the CDV IT department: it-support@cdv.gov.cz
Visitors with an eduroam account from another institution should primarily contact the IT support of their home institution, which manages their account.
