The hydrogen technologies division operates within the Transport Research Center as a specialist unit focused on the development of hydrogen economy in transport.
We are a public research institute and our goal is to support state administration, cities, regions, and the professional public in the implementation of safe, effective, and sustainable hydrogen technologies. Our field focuses on four main priority areas.
We participate in the preparation and updating of key national documents, such as the Czech Republic's Hydrogen Strategy and the National Action Plan for Clean Mobility. We provide independent expert input for government policy in the area of low-emission transport.
We analyze locations, evaluate their potential, and model future demand. We deal with the production, storage, transport, and distribution of hydrogen in relation to the Czech Republic's transport infrastructure.
We monitor the development of hydrogen technologies in various areas of transport – from urban and regional transport to road freight, personal mobility, and special equipment (handling, construction, and agricultural machinery).
We develop educational materials, methodologies, and information resources for experts, local governments, schools, and the public. We support the dissemination of independent and verified information about hydrogen.
