Our area focuses on the practical implementation of intelligent transport systems (ITS) and cooperative ITS (C-ITS) – from strategy to operation.
We design traffic scenarios for line control (e.g., speed/lane control, ramp metering), implement and operate detection systems, and integrate display and control elements into traffic control centers. Thanks to C-ITS – i.e., the exchange of information between vehicles, infrastructure, and centers – we increase traffic safety and flow, shorten response times, and improve driver awareness.
Transport data and related standards are our second pillar. We work with the European standards DATEX II, NeTEx, SIRI, and TN-ITS and help to establish NAP (National Access Point) in the Czech Republic. We are involved in the European NAPCORE X project, which supports the development and implementation of NAPs across Europe; we transfer this know-how to our cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, where CDV strives to play an integrative role in the implementation of NAP in the Czech Republic – from governance and integration of providers to API management.
We measure the impact of our solutions transparently. We develop and operate a software application for KPIs (key performance indicators) that evaluates the effectiveness of ITS investments based on metrics such as travel times, accident rates, and traffic flow. At the same time, we use Big Data analysis supported by LLM (Large Language Models) to quickly gain insights from large data sets, and we are developing the MaaS (Mobility as a Service) concept, which combines planning, ordering, and payment for multimodal transport into a single service.
