The field of transport engineering primarily deals with transport surveys, data analysis, visualization, modeling, and transport forecasts.
In the field of transportation engineering, we focus on bringing new knowledge, technologies, and procedures that help increase the safety and capacity of existing and newly built roads. We draw on our experience from research projects and commercial contracts, which enables us to respond effectively to current practical needs. At the same time, we create documentation for traffic management and regulation and offer expert support for related fields, such as road design, traffic planning, and assessment of the impact of traffic on noise and emissions.
Výsledky naší práce aktivně šíříme prostřednictvím publikační činnosti a na odborných konferencích a seminářích. Díky tomu přispíváme k rozvoji moderního dopravního inženýrství a podporujeme tvorbu efektivních a bezpečných dopravních řešení pro města, obce i státní správu.
collection of data on vehicle movement from road networks (e.g., modern trends in traffic surveys, development of software applications for data collection and processing, use of satellite data, vehicle movement trajectories, floating vehicles, etc.),
capacity problems at intersections and on roads (e.g., modifications to large intersections, proposals for unconventional modifications, generated traffic, traffic control using traffic lights, increasing the capacity of motorways, issues with motorway connections, ramp metering, etc.),
traffic flow theory (e.g., use of AI),
traffic flow modeling using microsimulation in PTV VISSIM (simulation of intersection capacity problems, autonomous vehicles, data for environmental assessment, intersection control using traffic lights, agent-based modeling),
traffic safety(vehicle movement in curves, vulnerable road users, creation of data for traffic safety campaigns: cooperation with MD BESIP: for example Chybělo málo).
Traffic surveys are used to determine traffic conditions on roads and the traffic behavior of people in a given area and time interval.
We have a trained team and are equipped with above-standard technology to conduct and evaluate traffic surveys: 130 cameras (including 40 with IR illumination for 24-hour surveys), 60 SIERZEGA SR4 radars, a special vehicle for parking surveys, including our own software applications for semi-automated evaluation.

directional traffic surveys (using ANPR cameras),
