Transport impact evaluations

The field of transport impact assessment deals with multidisciplinary research in the field of transport and expert activities, the results of which form the basis for effective assessment.

The key part consists of assessing the impact of transport, both in terms of transport engineering and economics, as well as in relation to clean transport. We perform analyses of accident and spatial data, statistical and economic assessments of the effectiveness of measures or interventions on the behavior of participants and transport safety using a wide range of data (accident rates, conflicts, speed from FCD, driver point ratings, environment, NUB evaluation, etc.). We are very intensively involved in the issue of clean transport, including electromobility. We are the authors of the BESIP 2021-2030 Strategy and other strategies at the regional and local levels, and we also conduct regular evaluations of the implementation of these strategies.

As part of the transfer of research findings to both the professional and general public, we regularly compile and publish Zpravodaj Čistá doprava and Zpravodaj Bezpečná doprava. Last but not least, we are active in the field of education and public transport surveys. We represent CDV in national and international organizations, e.g., in the relevant working groups of the Government Council for Road Safety, in the Electromobility Platform, IRTAD, ETSC, etc.
