The DATA4PT project focuses on improving the use and sharing of data in public transport to support the development of high-quality and interoperable mobility services across Europe. It addresses the growing importance of data in planning, managing, and informing passengers within public transport systems.
The main objective of the project is to support the development, deployment, and use of European data standards for public transport, namely Transmodel, NeTEx, and SIRI. These standards enable the provision of multimodal travel information services across the EU, including the TEN-T network and urban nodes.
The project includes both technical and organisational activities, such as maintaining and developing data standards, creating validation tools, supporting implementation in Member States, and facilitating the exchange of best practices. It also focuses on building a user community and establishing a sustainable long-term governance model.
DATA4PT contributes to the development of a seamless door-to-door mobility ecosystem and improves the quality of transport services for users.
The project is coordinated by UITP (International Association of Public Transport). The Technical Manager is ITxPT.
The project is implemented in cooperation with EU Member States, including the Czech Republic.
Data4PT has received funding from the European Union’s DG for Mobility and Transport under grant agreement No MOVE/B4/SUB/2019-104/CEF/PSA/SI2.821136
