The Transport Research Center, v. v. i., is implementing the NOVA project - CDV Return Grants (reg. no. CZ.02.01.01/00/24_037/0013790), which aims to facilitate the return of researchers to active research after a career break and to support the long-term development of human resources in research. The project is funded by the European Union and contributes to improving the quality of research and the long-term sustainability of the CDV's professional potential.
The activities include the introduction of return grants enabling researchers to carry out their own research projects after a career break and the establishment of a system of continuous communication, education, and employee support. The activities are based on an analysis of the needs of the target group and are in line with DKRVO 2023–2027, the CDV Human Resources Development Action Plan, and the principles of the HR Award.
Pilot verification of return grants: Verify the new grant scheme in practice, determine the real interest of the target group, identify barriers to return, and evaluate the benefits of this tool for further use.
Implementation of return grants: Implement up to 10 return grants that will contribute to achieving R&D&I results and enable targeted bridging of career breaks for researchers.
"Keep in Touch" concept: Create a systematic concept for communicating with employees on career breaks, including defining activities, processes, and responsibilities, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the measures put in place.
The NOVA project – CDV Return Grants contributes to maintaining the expertise of researchers after a career break, supports their reintegration into research teams, and promotes the development of professional competencies. The introduction of a flexible grant scheme strengthens human resource stability, promotes equal opportunities and work-life balance, and increases the long-term quality of research at the Transport Research Center.
