Accidents involving automated or autonomous vehicles are more complex. When investigating them, it is necessary to consider a whole range of additional factors across the entire human-vehicle-infrastructure system, unlike accidents involving conventional vehicles. The specifics of investigating these accidents are not reflected in current traffic accident investigation procedures. The project aims to identify key issues related to the investigation of accidents involving automated or autonomous vehicles and to define the relevant information and data sources necessary for investigating the causes of these accidents. Based on the knowledge base obtained, the necessary changes (both technical and legislative) in the investigation of these traffic accidents will be identified and a framework of appropriate measures for a comprehensive solution to accidents involving automated or autonomous vehicles will be proposed.
This project, Determination and optimization of vegetation strips with natural tree species composition for traffic noise reduction, is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic under the TRANSPORT 2030 Program.
