TRENDLINE

Project description

The TRENDLINE project brings together 25 EU Member States and several additional European countries as observers to systematically collect and analyse road safety data and deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).These indicators provide insight into factors associated with crash and injury risks, such as speeding or driving under the influence.

Building on the previous Baseline project, TRENDLINE further develops harmonised methodologies for data collection and analysis across Europe. In addition to existing indicators, the project also identifies and tests new KPIs and explores their practical application. The project is coordinated by SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research, a Dutch research institute specialising in road safety.

The overall objective is to support evidence-based policymaking and evaluation of road safety measures at both national and European levels, contributing to improved road safety outcomes.
