The Transport Research Centre will be exhibiting at the URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup trade fair, which will take place June 10–12, 2025, at the Brno Exhibition Centre. You can find us at a shared booth with the Ministry of Transport in Hall A2, Booth 204.
URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup is a leading Czech event focused on modern and smart solutions for cities and municipalities. Every year, it brings together representatives from local governments, state administration, research, technology companies, and startups. It is primarily intended for professionals—mayors, officials, project managers, urban architects, transportation planners, and IT specialists in public administration. Its goal is to share concrete experiences, showcase proven technologies, and discuss the future of cities in the context of digitalization, sustainability, and quality of life.

Petr Daněk – a CDV researcher and urban planner specializing in pedestrian and bicycle transportation – will speak during the session “The Future of Mobility: Technology, Rules, Cities,” which will be opened by Minister of Transport Martin Kupka. The session will focus on legislative developments, autonomous technologies, ethical issues, and concrete solutions from cities.

Tomáš Rosenberg – a CDV Systems researcher – will speak in the panel discussion “Smart Devices for Cities: Data, Automation, and Real-Time Overview.” The discussion will explore the use of sensors and data platforms for traffic management, crisis management, and the day-to-day operations of cities.

Lukáš Kadula – CDV’s clean mobility expert – will present the current state of clean mobility in the Czech Republic and the EU as part of the Clean Mobility Conference, which is part of the URBIS trade fair. The conference will provide up-to-date overviews, trends, and challenges in the field of electromobility and sustainable transport solutions.
