We focus on research into sustainable urban mobility and related areas.
We are dedicated to discovering new principles for planning sustainable and active transport that promote walking and cycling while maintaining accessibility to destinations by car. We also address the issue of parking, offering various empirically-based solutions to this pressing problem facing today's cities.
We also focus on quantitative and qualitative sociological surveys of people's opinions and behavior in various areas related to transport and mobility. Using sophisticated software tools, we create comprehensive transport models and search for innovative algorithms that help us answer the ever-increasing number of questions concerning scenarios for the future development of transport in various types of locations.
Our area also covers the activities of the Czech and Slovak organization Civinet, a network of cities and regions united by their interest in the development of active and sustainable mobility. We prepare a wide range of events and activities with a pan-European scope for representatives of these local governments, helping them to further develop in these areas and establish contacts.
We are a team of researchers composed of colleagues with different specializations, and we complement each other with our professional focus and experience. The combination of our social science and technical perspectives allows us to achieve a comprehensive and innovative view of the problems we face in the field of urban mobility.
